Limbtec Disaster Recovery
DTI data tells us that a very significant percentage of small or mid-sized companies which have experienced the effects of a catastrophe subsequently go out of business, even though they had insurance in place which provided indemnification against the financial impact of the loss.
The single most important reason for these companies failing to re-enter or re-establish themselves in their market place after the loss is lack of recovery planning.
With this in mind, Limbtec have teamed up with First Recovery. First Recovery has developed a combination of emergency recovery services which are aimed at helping companies overcome these difficulties if their operations experience a disaster. The service provided does not guarantee that a business will survive after a severe loss, but it does offer a solid foundation upon which to build your business continuity plan. This should ensure your company avoids becoming another unhappy statistic.
THE DISASTER RECOVERY SERVICE
In the event of a disaster, if the circumstances are appropriate, you may mobilise First Recovery who will provide you with the following services:
- emergency alternative accommodation in any one of over 500 office locations around mainland UK, as close as possible to your existing premises, complete with furniture, meeting rooms, reception facilities, fax/copier and secretarial services
- an Event Manager who will arrange and oversee the service delivery on site
- a PC network of 6 or 12 workstations*
- connectivity with internet and e-mail
- redirection of telephones where possible
- all within two working days of mobilisation.
* depending upon which workstation package you have ordered
They will respond to a mobilisation if you have suffered physical damage to your business premises specified in the schedule.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- We will not mobilise our service simply because an empowered authority, i.e. the police, deny you access to your business premises defined in the schedule. There must be actual physical damage occurring to, or at, your own premises before our service can be deployed.
- When mobilised we will pay for one months rental at the alternative offices as well as the deposit required by the office operators. You must reimburse First Recovery for the full amount of the deposit within 14 days. Assuming you adhere to the terms of the rental agreement you will of course receive the deposit or retainer back from the office operators as and when you vacate the temporary premises.
- All other costs involved in the initial delivery of the service are absorbed by ourselves. If you wish to retain the PCs we provide beyond the first month, you will be charged a rental of £100.00 plus VAT per PC per month or part thereof.
- All office rental agreements are taken out in your company’s name.
Important Actions to take
First Recovery will help your company when you need it most. To help us help you most effectively, take a few minutes to read the following:
- keep a record of your internet service provider (ISP), your e-mail service provider (if different) and the relevant usernames and passwords OFFSITE – you should have recorded this and other critical information - we will provide you with the means to record this securely.
- backup your data. We will provide you with infrastructure in the form of alternative office premises, together with PCs, internet and e-mail connectivity. However, for most SME businesses, data is their most precious asset and trying to operate any business without access to their own data is likely to prove difficult in the extreme. If you do nothing at present you run a severe risk that your business will struggle in the aftermath of a major incident.
- we offer an on line service which is easy to use and inexpensive as well as being safe, secure and reliable
