Small Business Server 2008 has built on the work of the previous versions of SBS, the platform now requires 64 bit hardware, this is because of Exchange 2007, but most Server Hardware will run this without any problems.

As you can see from the image above SBS comes in two version, essentially the difference is if you need to run an application on SQL server, or perhaps just run a few Line of Business Applications, although we can give you advice on this based on your exact requirements.
