The network is the backbone of your IT; without a strong backbone, your IT equipment, printers, phones, and much more simply won’t function correctly. A network is defined as a connection between two or more computers, either by a cable or wireless connection, for the purposes of sharing data and resources.<\/p>\n

There are various different network configurations, and choosing the right one for your business, school, or organisation is critical to deliver the most efficient and secure IT communication system possible. LANS, WANS, VPNs<\/h3>\n

You will need LAN services or local area network services. This service tends to be confined to one building and uses wired cables (or wireless) for fast, low-cost communication between PCs, printers, storage devices and other IT office equipment.<\/p>\n

The number of connected devices can range from two to more than a thousand, and it’s also possible to set up wireless versions (WLANS). A WLAN service (i.e. Wi-Fi) is an example of a small client-server network. Various devices are connected to the router, which acts as a server for the organisation. The router is then connected to a much larger network (the internet).<\/p>\n

For remote access to your organisation’s applications and data, you will likely need to set up a virtual private network (VPN). The VPN setup normally uses the internet but creates a virtual tunnel connection to ensure security while opening up access to remote employees. Wide area networks (WANS) are set up by larger organisations or businesses with multiple locations. They connect multiple smaller networks using leased lines or packet-switching technologies.<\/p>\n
